The Road

The Road

Everyone on this earth has a path
a road which we walk
some run into disaster
others tread slowly and wait

how do we know which way is the right way
and which way is the wrong way
do we leave it up to chance
or have faith in our decisions

There are others who try to influence our path
do we listen to them
or follow our own voice
is there really a right and a wrong

The road we walk can be a tough one
some people expect it to be easy
those are the ones that end up paying the price
while the others are prepared for the path ahead

sometimes your path can turn into a hill
do you decide to go back
to give up everything you have done
just because you have to work a bit harder

once we reach the end of our path
we will be able to look back and enjoy
hopefully it will bring a smile to your face
to see all the changes your life has made
all those whose lives you altered
will be smiling back at you
as you leave your path and embark on your last journey
