about how friendship can turn and how a group can be torn apart

We used to be one group of friends,

But now jealousy and hypocrisy found their way between us,

The once faithful friends,

Became double faced ones,

One of us was forced to become an outsider and left,

Now they are opposing another friend,

My best friend,

They meet him with a smile and a hug,

But speak about him behind his back,

How has it ended with us to this limit?

Playing games on each other,

My friends turned into my worst dream,

                   Becoming plastic,

The rest of the group did me no harm,

But how do I feel safe with them after I saw what they did?

How can I be in peace that they will not do the same to me?

Its an ethical dilemma,

I don’t want to be forced to choose,

But these friends seem no longer to care,

If they think this way,

What will keep them from betraying me?

Backstab me in the future,

It all started so good,

We promised to be best friends or at least good friends,

Then human nature interfered and some people disliked one or two,

And others simply followed,

From one big unity,

We broke in to small, weak rings,

I know it's normal that not all of us will like each other,

But it never entitles you to speak behind someone's back,

Its an ethical dilemma,

Should I tell my friend?

Be the main reason why the group is shattered,

Or keep it as it is?

And betray my friend and kill the friendship by seeing him backstabbed,

What if I tell him and he does not believe me?

I would lose both edges,

What am I supposed to do?

If it was me,

I would always want my friend to tell me,

But would he want the same?

Why has it ended at this state?

A state where we break apart,

And friends become foes,

Is it a proof that nobody really cares?

They only pretend to do so?

Is it true that we are all members in a big scene of a theatre and life is the stage where we all act?
