I got inspired a couple of minutes ago. What do you think?
Us.
My laughter reflects in those eyes,
My tears are linked by that demise.
Wound up and thrown out to sea, together for eternity.

It may seem like a curse at times.
Our interests span from east to west,
Our outlooks aren’t stored in the same treasure chest.
We share only one common rhyme...

There is a bond clinking between you and I,
Your hands, smooth and still, hold secrets at will,
Your words, bold and beautiful, knock on my windowsill.
Happiness is the art of never wondering why.

Tomorrow and tonight,
In the grace of the morning light,
In the mystery of the darkening night,
We’re alike.
