A dark and creepy poem written when I was bored in math.
You come to my room late at night
Crying because you had a fright
Seeing you here is like a dream
But dreams aren't always what they seem

So I hold you close and squeeze you tight
And tell you everything will be alright
I trail my fingers down your spine
And suddenly want to make you mine

My hands come to rest on your back
And then your ribs begin to crack
My brain says stop, but my hands won't listen
As you begin to scream like a strangled kitten

I love you so much and wish to stop
But it's so satisfying to hear you pop
I convince myself this is just a dream
As you beg and cry and scream and scream

Then I crush our mouths together
As your screams disappear forever and ever
And as the weight of my arms crushes your lungs
For another minute, I mesh our tongues

Even though you don't kiss back
I push you down onto your back
I know that if you could scream, you would
Then think, since you can't, maybe I should

So I scream for you and I scream for me
And for all the things you will never again see
Then I awake, cool sweat on my face
Panting like crazy, my heart's in a race

I slowly get up, make my way to your door
Begin to open it, then shut it once more
I have to know that you're alive
But to find out, I'll have to look inside

I step into your room late at night
Crying because I had a fright
Seeing you alive is like a dream
But dreams aren't always what they seem
