This is a poem I wrote inspired by my darkest days...
The canvas painted black,
dotted with an infinity of souls,
covers me as I lay here,
in this place well known,
The earth my sacred haven,
but the shadow is approaching fast,
As I shake back and forth,
hoping it will pass,
But just as before,
fear knocks me to my feet,
Once again I begin to cry,
Once again I will not sleep,
And I begin to feel,
the burning sensation hover,
as I begin to desire,
a kiss from my steel lover,
And as it is extracted,
I see the reflection of the moon,
And just as my arm was white,
it is red just as soon,
And as the sinful red river flows,
onto my once innocent earth,
My tears begin to slow,
and I dive in head first,
As I hold my breath,
I explore this new found land,
Until I whisper, "I am ready,"
And he takes me by the hand...
