just a poem i wrote
in pursuit of happiness
what always gets in the way of bliss
for me it is my mind
it sounds odd but it makes me blind
always wanting something or thinking it needs
never content with what it has contempt it breeds
its never enough to satisfy its lust
for more always slow to trust
my heart which knows what it wants
love dances in my heart and always taunts
but why is it hard to trust your heart
the brain always thinking it has a poison dart
always questioning my hearts desire
never thinking it could be something they both require
the brain is always asking why
the heart is always urging you to try
although trying has its risks you can get hurt
but isn't it more fun to be brave and flirt
does it really matter if she says no
will it ruin your life i would rather know
if it was meant to be it will work if not
im sure you wont be shot
for trying to find love
your beautiful white dove
