A poem that came to me while I sat on the driveway with chalk in hand. :)
Little birdie on the wire,
What is it you see?
You stare at me like a moth to fire,
So intently.

I must say I am afraid.
You stare at me
With the face you made.
If I were faster I would flee.

I find I have reason to fear.
For you came so close I could feel your breath
As you grabbed me by the rear,
To take me to my death.

I am a worm.
You are a robin.
In your beak I squirm,
But I fear I shall not win.
