Hyperbole simmered lightly
On the kitchen stove
Whilst the ‘off black’ pot and kettle
Under lids of pretence
Worked together in coalition
To boil away the essence
Of sycophantic spice
From the ever tainted broth
That is life
…
Not quite
The cup of tea I had hoped for
