A poem about the nature of unconditional love.
It shines brightly, eternally
The rays come down on me
It shines on my face and
on my loose tooth

It shines on and
Even when I am testy
Even when I am weepy and sad
Its warmth greets me when I go to it

It sets on me as I eat dinner, the warmth still promising
I am on my own,
yet --
I know it will shine once more

It
comes to me daily
sometimes beating
sometimes shining
sometimes
sometimes whispering to me
It shines on
Through the storms and clouds
Through the rain
I wait for it to rise
and shine on me
Again
