Nine years she came into the world, delicate fragile and ours
Nine years
I was part of her life.
I was there at the beginning,
From the tadpole of life
To the heartbeat beginning.

Nine years
Of worry and love,
Hospital scans and decisions.
She skipped when I called her my love,
Having her was the best of decisions.

Nine years ago,
She came into the world.
Delicate, fragile and ours,
She completed my world,
My wife's and mine, ours.

Nine years,
Nothing else mattered.
First smile, first love,
Only she mattered.
I was SO proud of my love.

Nine years later,
And everything's gone.
Separation, alienation and hurt,
Cut out, cut away...gone.
Life's a continual hurt.

Nine years old,
And I miss her.
I'm her Dad, but I mean nothing.
My life just to hug and to kiss her,
My world without her...means nothing.
