Cigars and Rum
Like the cheap perfume
Our mothers wore
You always assume
I'd hold the door
For the Voice of Doom who rents my room

Like photogravure
In Mother's chest
There's pressed a picture
Of dear old Ernest
Gone fishing off the Bight in Old Key West

Caress my brow
While you wash my hair
The sky turns black
On a comet's dare
Brother Dearest killed our cash cow
Shy of face in a one eyed pair
Oh no
My...feet...are...bare

Like the vintage car
My father drove
You'd go too far
Out in the grove
Where my father rove

Photos on the water front
Brando was Magnificent
The grapevine says
They've made a list
Are you a Communist?
Cigars sent from Fidel
Never saw him fall
Oh no
My...feet,,,are...bare
