What is lovelier than a little Robin feeding her young?
Looking out the kitchen window this Eve,
As I washed the dirty dishes I saw
A wee robin perched high upon a branch of an apple tree
Standing there I watched in total awe.

As the robin fed it's little ones,
Chirping hungrily on queue.
And as I stood in my kitchen
I couldn't think of a lovelier view.

As I dried my dishes with my cloth
I pondered how God in His infinite wisdom
Made such a wondrous bird without any flaws.
And yet, man has the sinew to shoot it with a gun.

Like the Mother Robin upon that apple tree,
Life is a wholesome gift that God gave you and me.
