A wake-up call to my friend.
What gives you the right?
To say such things about me
What gives you the right?
When you can't even see

The truth lies underneath the surface
And the outside says nothing at all
So, when you figure that out
Why don't you give me a call

I don't believe you're wearing a long black gown
Or have a gavel in your hand
So what gives you the right to judge me?
I guess the jury's still out in this land

When your fantasies prove false
And when your dreams have dissolved
You'll finally realize the truth of it all
And the mystery will have solved

You can't protect yourself
By bringing others down
Just because you will hurt your own friends
Doesn't mean you wear the crown

So, wake up!
And smell reality
Mend that old relationship
With the friend that used to be me
