A poem for Eyolf Stiksrud. A Norwegian musician, a very good friend and a loving father.
A Viking with the purest heart, a master of his beloved art
Genius a world apart
My Dear Friend Eyolf

A flautist with the softest touch, noise could sometimes get too much
Losing you was a sucker punch
My Dear Friend Eyolf

A singer with a gravely tone, impossible to understand on the phone
The best musician I have ever known
My Dear Friend Eyolf

And then you left up to the sky
When I found out, I started to cry
As far as I am concerned you didn't die
My Dear Friend Eyolf

I think of you when I write a song
Telling me the chord sequence is totally wrong
I will see you soon, it won't be long
My Dear Friend Eyolf
