Poem about needing someone.
I lied, and I'm sorry
but I'm not okay, not one little bit
I feel like I'm coming undone
The glue that barely held me together
isn't there at all now
I want to cry, to scream,
but the tears won't come,
the wails won't start

I'm tired, dead tired,
but I won't sleep
I keep seeing your face
hearing an echo of your voice,
hoping for a change
Hoping it'll go back to the way it was
instead of this hell that is sure to come

I just want you to be here
This pain is strong, and I'm just not
Please, just stay a little longer
I'll be okay soon, then you can go and live your life
Just stay until I can smile with my eyes
Just stay a little longer, please
Don't go just yet
Just wait until I can stand
I'll be okay, I swear

Maybe I'm still lying, I don't know
but stay a little longer
Please just stay a little longer with me
I know I said I'd be okay, that you could go
But God knows I was lying through my teeth
I need you now, so please don't go
Just stay a little longer and hold my hand
Stay just a moment longer, and I'll be okay
Just one moment could make me okay again
