Many recieve advice, few profit from it.
Advice

We receive advice many a times,
Paid or free, even when not in need,
To reflect in time on what is shared,
We fail as we never truly pay heed.

A fast paced life this world packs today,
With temptations and distractions sometimes with a fee,
Who cares about what’s being given or shared?
It’s our life; we will do better so others can see.

Defeat of the “will”, no logical reasoning,
Possessed by selfishness to rush ahead and be,
Deaf and blind is what we turn intentionally,
Even with healthy ears to hear and eyes to see.

What good is all the advice we may receive,
Aren’t we blessed with a free will to choose our needs?
Isn’t it appropriate come tomorrow we have to lead?
Not forgetting the mention of our rights to back our deeds.

The ones who learn and profit from advice,
Are those that make the time to listen; and attentively,
They surrender their ego to the worthy cause of living,
With conscious reasoning and practice inevitably
