Life is a journey whether it be a real journey or a ficticious one...

The Journey

You were always saying, that you will take the journey
Through the lost horizon and down the slippery slopes,
Out across the ocean full of never ending stories
Passing through the techni-coloured world of make believe,
you know the ropes.

The truth it tells a story and the story`s never-ending
A ship full of passengers on the happiness pursuit,
A small degree of wishful thinking,  peace transcending
I tied them  to secure  you, and never let you float.

As night follows day, and clouds they follow,  lonely
Into the milky twilight of a coast, on the Aegean sea,
Camels down apon their knees, giving rides to all who please
Their captors, with a kindly coin of low value, hand to me.

And so it goes, a dip in the water
Climbing hills I`ve fallen down and silently lay,
I caught the sea breeze magnificence, amidst purple skies of night
Ready for my favourite, place on earth.
To put the world to right.

Memories have a way of coming back to emote you
And people have their way, and some stubborn with it all,
Man lives for the weather here, he lives for want somewhere over there
Some men say they haven`t got a care, but go carefully.

Leave me as you found me please, sailing on the desert breeze
My camel`s Sheila on her knees, the hardest place of all,
But I won`t mind if I don`t ride, I`ll just walk;  to the other side
Save her to her Persian dreams in the moonlight,
and she`ll dance the night away.
