poem i wrote March 28,2009
She feels like a statue,
A stone;
Cold, numb, unfeeling.
How long has she been this way?
She can’t remember.
She knows this isn’t normal,
She knows she hasn’t always been this way.
But she can’t remember a time,
A time when she wasn’t like this.

If you looked at her,
You would never guess,
Never guess what’s going on on the inside;
In her mind,
In her heart,
In her soul.
The tendrils of darkness that slowly fill her.
