In a workaholic society the old adage "stop and smell the roses" is easier said then done.
I Can’t Smell the Roses

Time flows like a river; each and every day,

Currents, ripples, changing

Without any delay

You try to run and beat the clock,

Your schedule’s packed to the seams,

But as you hear it tick and tock

You don’t have any means,

To try to reign in time,

From its unyielding course,

Is often just like trying,

To tame a wild horse.

It fights, bites you every time,

It’ll throw you to the ground

No matter what you do,

No matter who’s around.

Time has not a master,

You’re only its slave,

Until the day you die,

There is no choice but sit and wait,

As you watch the days fly by.
