Unhealthy relationships... I've had many.
Could you ever forgive
Forget the harsh times
Hold me still in the drunken love we give one another

Hold me still in the darkness

You promised me a memory
Something to last and last and...
Promises broken

In broken bits and little pieces I pondered shards of us
Sharp slicing fragments of memories...
Promises tainted

Long shadows cast in all directions
The shadows lead back to my feet and I'm standing all alone
In complete darkness

But you did not go far
Or maybe you just didn't run
Run fast enough to escape our collision course orbit

Reaching out to you
Reaching out with slicing fragments
And my grip tightens around these shards of what it was

Sharp and slicing the blood drips
Warm and thick from my heart
You kiss the blood, it stains your lips

You have forgiven, I have forgotten
A drunken stupor is our love
Hold me still in the darkness

And you hold me still...
