Sometimes we leave our guide behind, but our guide never really leaves us.
As the day begun
All I thought of was fun

Certainly not of fun alone
And certainly not alone in my home

Mountains, oceans, gentle breeze
Rivers, landscape, gaint trees

My path, my route mapped by nature
My guide and companion, O what pleasure

It took but seconds to step in place
Of the tracks of nature I set to trace

Tall long green grass stood blocking my way
With my matchete, to bushwalking right away

Legs in hiking boots leading me calmly
To a herd of martens grazing freely

O suddenly, what a sight
At the awareness of my presence, what a flight

After them as one with no cares
Like a child unknown to fears

In my race nature left me
How could it be known I was feeling free

Excitements all gone
I knew I was done

Out I called to my dear nature
But no answer to my very displeasure

Darkness all around
In fear's chains I was bound

Soaked in tears all alone
Wondering if my sins I could atone

The night passed but I stayed
Not wanting to be prey, I prayed

Morning came, with what, wondered I
"Salvation" nature's voice heard I

It's now clear, I'll never be forsaken
But His grace for granted must not be taken
