A poem of emotion
What’s The Right Thing?

Please don’t hut me.

I didn’t do anything.

No, don’t hit me.

I won’t tell,

Please mister.

I’m just a small girl.

I don’t know what you are doing.

No, don’t, keep my clothes on.

I don’t want them off.

Please mister,

I was just walking home from school.

I don’t even know you,

Do you know me at all?

You are bigger then me.

What did I do?

Stop, no. I want my mommy.

My daddy, he’ll hurt you.

-whack-

Ouch! Why’d you hit me?

Are you finished?

I hurt. There is so much pain.

I ache.

Why are you leaving me here alone?

It’s cold, I’m cold.

I can’t move.

I can’t talk.

Tears roll from my eyes,

Why me?

I want to know why you picked me?

My eyes, they are heavy.

I’m sleepy, but I must fight.

A voice yells at me from deep inside,

“Stay awake, don’t drift away.”

I can’t help it.

Darkness is here.

It’s taking over.

I can’t fight it anymore.

My eye lids slowly go down.

A light somewhere in my mind.

Why did he hurt me?

Can justice be served?

Just make him see what he did,

The pain he caused.

Don’t hurt him.

He hurt me, yes.

But don’t hurt him.

Two wrongs don’t make a right.

A life lesson everyone comes to learn.

Mommy, I don’t want you to do the wrong thing.

I love you I do,

Please do the right thing.

Trust your heart.

Act not from furry, or pain.

Keep me in your mind, And think of what I want.
