A silly, goofy little tale of a Knight's quest ending in in a way he did not expect.
Now I really do not wish to cause a stir,
For my knightly honour was once so pure,

But here I lay, life so easy and set,
To slay a dragon, that was my challenged bet,

The Duke, my friend, offered honour and gold,
This opportunity I could not allow to go cold,

The poster I took, oh so eager and bold,
Had I slowed down and read, the end of this tale would be oh so different, truth be told,

Away I went, ready to be a slayer,
But once I saw the dragon, I could never hate her,

But a job to do, a job I ment to try,
My own impatience then struck me in the eye,

I drew back, I drew away to bait her,
Only then did I realize, that on the poster, the S was missing in Slayer,

So here I sit, against silk and scale,
Watching her awake, and give a sleepy morning hail,

I sit here remembering my Quest,
I stroke her, my lover, and you know?

I like this ending best.
