Non-rhyming, dark poem about life as the underdog.
He keeps on kicking me, hitting me. pushing me, shoving me off the edge
Off the ledge, the ledge of my world.
"She's the problem" they whisper, they snarl, they scream into my ear
Into my mind, dominating my thoughts.

They tease me, torture me, torment me, kill me now
                                                Kill me deep inside.
"Freak!" they say, they giggle, they yell, they think in their minds
In their words, their cutting words.

Everything is quiet, silent, dull, dead, afraid to move, to breathe, to live here
To live deep inside my mind.
In here I am safe, secure, away from harm, impenetrable to their thoughts
                                                  Impenetrable to their insensitive thoughts.
