This is the final fight in my book, Quest of The Realms.
The first thing that happened was silence. After a long stare down, he said “Come and get me!” and then suddenly teleported. I followed him through the portal he left behind and ended up in a flat plantless plain. It was a stormy night and Dagathora was clad in black armor. ”We are in the Dark Realm in case you were wondering.” Said Dagathora. “It is also known as the underworld.” “Welcome to my home.” With that he charged and yelled coming with an overhead strike. I lifted up my blade and slanted it so his blade would slide off mine. I took my chance at his open side but he quickly parried it. Then he went for my neck so I ducked and stabbed at his feet but soon fond that he was levitating.

I guessed he would be coming at me so I rolled and left my blade where it was. I looked up to see him struggling to get his sword out of the ground. I ran and tackled him with my right shoulder, grabbing my sword in the process. When we hit the ground, I immediately rolled off. I had an opportunity to stab him while he was down, but I wasn’t going to make his mistake of stabbing my opponent while he was on the ground. He got up and yanked his sword out of the ground with an infuriated tug after being so humiliated. He charged me with a frenzy of anger-driven attacks. I have no idea how, but I blocked every one of them. To my relief, he finally stopped and brought his sword to his side. Then he began an aggravated moan that slowly grew into a loud yell, I knew he was going to strike. I had two options, and everything was happening so fast that I acted on impulse and accidentally took both. I dropped to the ground and raised my sword to block. First I heard clashing of metal to metal, then I felt a shock go down my arm. I jerked back in pain and now I was curled up into a helpless little ball without my sword. I had to come up with a plan to rid him of his sword, because a fight where I don’t have a sword, but my opponent does, would be very risky. I rolled underneath him and jumped on his back in an attempt to choke him but Dagathora simply laughed at this and grabbed my arms and I soon realized that he was burning them. I yelled in pain and tried to pull my arms away, but he wouldn’t let go. Finally he let go my arms were stinging and felt hot and dry. He turned with a smirk on his face because he knew he had the upper hand. He stabbed at me, which was perfect. I easily dodged and brought my fist down on his wrist to make him drop his sword. He looked shocked, with kind of an “oops” expression on his face, then he turned at me and looked pretty mad. He came in for a punch but I dodged and back handed him. He turned his body and floated on his right side (because of levitation) and tried to kick me with his left foot but I blocked it. He did a back flip and caught me in the chin. I lost my balance and when I looked up he had both arms raised and then I felt a sharp pain on my head. Suddenly I was looking down and saw his knee coming at me so I quickly jumped back. I focused and got ready for him to hit me again but instead of a punch, he was actually sliding at me like in base ball, but I easily jumped over it. I got off and when he got up, his face was overflowing with hatred. It was terrifying. He rushed at me and tried to tackle me but I used his weight against him. He went on for a second and I ran up to elbow him in the back. “Ouch!” he yelled and kicked me away. I got up to see him charging a fireball, so I put up my hands together and made my own fireball to parry his. When it disappeared, I saw a barrage of lightning balls flying at me. I caught them all and charged them up into one humongous lightning ball. The power was overwhelming. I released the giant ball of energy, and when I was able to see again, I saw a giant crater. I walked over to it, my legs shaking from fear of him still being alive. When I got close enough to see, there was a pile of debris at the bottom. I hoped he was lying underneath it, but my hopes were soon crushed. I used air to clear the debris, and nothing. Then all of a sudden, everything jolted became blurry, then I realized a sharp pain on my head. I had been hit on the head, and hard. I was in some serious trouble. Everything was spinning and blurry. I couldn’t see anything but blobs and there were about three or four black blobs. There was one blob that obviously wasn’t Dagathora, but the rest looked like any one of them could be him. I picked the one that I thought resembled him most and shot a fireball, I wasn’t planning on using much energy on something that I wasn’t even sure was Dagathora. I completely missed. Suddenly it occurred to me that there was nothing I could do to beat him in this state. But what could I do? I got a pretty crazy idea, but any idea at this point would help. I closed my eyes and encased my legs in rock. I would use the rocks to steady my legs. It would slow me down but that would be better than not being able to see. I planned on using my ears to find him, but I found that I could feel vibrations from the ground and I felt some really strong ones to my left. I wasn’t sure how close it was but I dodged like he was already swinging…and he was. I felt a strong and hot wind above me along with the crackling of fire. I felt my arm moving and my heart jumped, I controlled the wind around my arm and punched him using air to back up my punch. I instinctively opened my eyes my vision was better but still blurry but I could easily make Dagathora out, and he was flying away. He quickly became just another blob…a blob that suddenly stop with a loud smack and a yell. He fell to the ground with a thud, and I closed my eyes and slid the rock that encased my legs toward him. I gathered a lot of rocks… enough for a rock slide. I let it go right where I was feeling his vibrations, but just before I did, I felt him jump away. He landed and charged at me. I heard fire, and felt heat. I formed an air shield around me and lifted my rock encased leg and stomped as hard as I could. I felt him wobble and fall to the ground, and I took the opportunity to strike. I brought up a wind from behind me with my right arm and swung it by my leg and sent him flying into the air... Then I remembered I couldn’t see him in the air…”oops” I said out loud. I had to open my eyes and luckily, my eyesight was almost 20/20 again-enough to fight with. I dropped my rock casing, jumped high into the air, and focused my eyes. I used wind to do a backflip kick, but he spun around and kicked my feet, knocking me out of balance. I went spinning out and landed in the top of a tree. I used a very strong wind to rip of all the leaves and then I blew them at Dagathora… not a very strong attack, but a decent distraction. I took my chance and made a thin layer of ice spikes on my fist, putting water under the ice and charging it with lightning, so that when the ice broke from the impact, the lightning charged water would be released. I also used wind to push on my elbow making the punch that much stronger. I hit him right on his left cheek and he screamed with rage “GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Probably the most memorable thing from fighting him, and the most pleasant, would be his screams of rage, and I think this one was my favorite. His cheek was bloody, burnt, and bruised-a nice sight for me. He got so ticked that he charged his hands with darkness and ran towards me. I figured the best thing to fight off darkness was light, so I charged my hands with light and ran towards him. He threw a dark ball at my right foot, but I just charged my foot with light, jumped and kicked it away, it was obvious his anger was getting to him. I sent a small beam of light from my right hand towards him, but he dodged and mirrored my attack. I wanted to be less predictable, so I fell backwards (on purpose), and shot a frenzy of light balls from my hands and feet. He jumped up and shot a large dark beam, using both hands, and destroyed all of my light balls. He landed right over me, grinning evilly at me, he lifted up both his hands and put them together, then he yelled and started to shoot a very strong dark beam at me, but before he could release it, I rolled backwards and kicked him in the back. It didn’t do much, but it gave me enough time to blast him with enough wind to get him away from me. As he was flying through the air I shot a humongous light beam strait for where he was going. He saw it, flipped around in the air, landed on his feet and shot a beam to counter mine. He began to over power me, and it seemed impossible to beat him, I was giving my all, I couldn’t think of any other way to beat him. The darkness was getting closer, and bigger. It was beginning to surround me, I couldn’t fight it off, my light beam was almost completely gone, I started to think of how easy it would be to let go. The temptation to give up grew stronger, it began to seem like I had already given up. My light beam was completely gone, I was now just fending off the darkness with my bare hands, and the darkness was beginning to consume me, when I tried to think, I could only see black, then I remembered all the sages, how far I’d come, and why I was doing all of this, I stomped a hole in the ground to secure my foot, let out a yell charged more light into my hands, I pushed even harder than I possibly could, my heart was racing, hope was coming back, I was pushing his beam back! I was almost halfway there when he let out a groan and then he released more power, but I couldn’t let myself get as close to defeat as last time, I let more energy that I didn’t have go and I was getting more and more hopeful, I was winning! I was almost there! He must have been loosing hope like I was earlier, except he had nothing but his own selfishness to keep him going, and if I had been selfish earlier, I would have let go. I knew he would probably just let go. Suddenly he got a lot weaker and my beam consumed him. I ran toward him and noticed his sword lying not too far from me. I jumped over him shot a ball of light in his face to keep him down then grabbed his sword. I turned around and saw him getting up. To my delight, he was struggling. I walked toward him and he limped toward me. I stared him in the eye and said “This sword…the one you used to kill so many innocent people, will now be the very blade used to take your life…” “Ha! You know your too soft to take any life” “come on and kill me if you think your heartless enough. A poor defenseless man, unarmed and weak” He said. I snapped back “Oh please, don’t waste my time. Your armed with all the elements and you are nothing but evil. And I have no problem getting rid of evil.” He made an angry face and tried to shoot a dark ball at me. I easily knocked his hand away and kicked him down. He wasn’t lying about being weak. I looked at his dark blade. He hadn’t even cleaned the bloodstains off. It was a horrible thing to think about…both how many lives he had taken and the fact that I now had to take his. But I swallowed, charged the blade with light, and plunged his sword strait into his heart. “GAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa…” My face had blood on it, and so did the rest of me…I felt sick and puked…I turned around, dropped the sword and pulled out my teleporter. “You did the right the right thing” I recognized this to be the Light Sage’s voice. “I know” I replied “but I still hate to take a life”

“But by taking his life, you saved many others lives”

“I suppose…” He appeared in front of me “Come on, time to go home”

“Finally.” With that he put his hand on my shoulder and took me back to the human realm, right outside my house. “Thanks” I said. “Oh no I assure you, you did a far greater thing for everyone else”

“Heh I guess I did, didn’t I?”

“Hopefully we will meet again…but this time, just to say hello”

“Ya, that sounds nice”

“Goodbye hero”

“See ya” I walked inside and my parents dog piling me hurt more than Dagathora ever could have.
