The pain in their eyes continue to haunt me
The pain I created continues to haunt me
Will peace return when the storm passes on
The pain in her face continues to haunt me
Have my personal dreams been to costly

The girls never asked for their daddy to leave
Was my life all that bad, were the issues that deep
The pain in their eyes continue to haunt me
Have my own desires been much to costly

They’re moving on, rebuilding their new dreams
While my waves of emotions keep on flowing
The pain in their eyes will forever haunt me
Is any dream worth being this costly?

I’ve listened to lies, chased for the sky
A few laughs with old friends grew old very quickly
My life will go on like a very sad song
Will the pain in my own heart continue to haunt me

Have my personal dreams been too costly
The pain in their eyes continue to haunt me
