I wrote this poem after my car broke down in winter and I had to walk home, brrrrrrr.
Listen to the whispering wind,
an eerie feeling prevails.
Thinking of a way to end,
these bitter north wind gales.
The chilling bones are aching,
the cold cuts strait through.
Your whole body is shaking,
as you turn a little blue.
Prickly fingers of numbness,
fill your outer limbs.
The frost, you seem to feel less,
as your life starts to dim.
The steady coldness seems a comfort,
the eyes grow heavy and fall.
To move seems a hopeless effort,
you think the wind gives a call.
you give into the cold, as you sleep,
Your lost, there is no more you can do,
Life's flow you can no longer keep.
