Into The Nothing
The dark black clouds hover my head
No lightning, no rain, no thunder
For it would bring too much excitement
Just the silence of gloom

They say hell has many levels
This is just the beginning
My thoughts haunt me when I sleep
There is no rest for the wicked

Dreams and aspirations descend into the darkness
Falling into the pit of nothingness
Pain, suffering and loneliness fill the void
Long gone never to be recovered

I almost can’t remember
The feeling of love, happiness, or life
The fear and anguish of being hurt
Forces me to hide from the world, never again

Stands before you is a simple man
He hides behind his smiling mask
Decaying and withering behind the illusion
For pity is not what he desires

The hope of light breaking through
Allows tomorrow to come
Yet it never does
How long can one suffer?
