my tribute to E.E. Cummings

watch it all repeat
(screaming metal boxes)
words have been misused
swirling down the drain

driving in a circle
(kill each other slowly)
the same death returns
tomorrow once again

voices in monotone
(with victims waiting)
talking heads say nothing
so it has always been

the enemy is far away
(life weaves in and out)
the constant banging plays
grinding of the chain

watch it all repeat
(blood red turns to brown)
worlds have been wasted
sheltered wave of pain

statues made of sand
(lost under the wheels)
to bend in to the solitude
of earth they remain
