Missing that person is the hardest feeling in the world.
I would reach for you.
If I ever felt the want or need
To get along without love or greed
I felt your touch, so I turned down the lights.
I shut my eyes, turned off the world
Imagined you were by my side
And I reached for you.

I would reach for you.
If I walked alone, down these empty streets
Turned my face away from bloodstained sheets.
I felt your gaze, so I turned to face you
Imagined you were speaking to me
And I reached for you.

I would reach for you.
When I felt the world was lost
And everything was done without measure or cost.
I felt your smile, so I smiled too
Imagined you were laughing with me
And I reached for you.

I live a lie,
I watched the sky
The mist settled on the morning dew
These tears I cry
I'd rather die
Because I know I can never reach you.
