How can I quiet the voices in my mind?
My liquid drug for the day
Makes her voice go away.
When she speaks to me,
I can never believe
She isn’t real.
Now I feel
Elated and free.
No more racing imagery.
I sew her busy lips shut
With a sip of
Stimulant.
I am powerful,
I’m confident.
Flying above the sea
With too much energy
I come crashing down,
Down to the ground.
A blow to the head
Knocks me down dead.
She’s whispering to me.
