A poem I wrote when I was kind of depressed one night.
I hide in the shadows,
I sit in the street,
I rest in the commonplace,
Envisioning you and me.

Staring at the sun,
as it fades away,
and observing the stars,
that crawl across the blue sky.

When I'm at the river,
I skip a stone for you,
to parallel a missed heartbeat,
for everytime you notice me.

Why can't I tell you?
Why does this fear tremble me?
As the rain beats against the window,
so I beg myself for a plea,

Just tell her, just tell her,
about the chain of secrets,
that binds me,
and serves as my weakness.
