The truth about vices that misdirect even the straightest paths.
Choice: Cigarette

Wrinkles and cough
mark your trait, your weakness
that carries with you, to spread,
only to spread and grow
so seamless.

Carry or lumber
as you walk and tread,
stench follows every nose,
corrodes every inch
weakening 'til dead.

Choice an option
yet not much, with lust in tow,
can't put it down, never put it down,
for sex is a warm flame
with a seductive glow.

Choice: Alcohol

Forget it, for me,
because I never can.
Make a reminder not to remember

You always do,
one after another and again
always a true friend.

I can only look,
remain awake for so long
before sleeping under your love,

My spell: a spinning room,
sickness, cirrhosis
and a shortened life span

all in name, in essence
for purpose of escape
as life is darkest when Lite.
