The Dragon Tamer.


Here I stand, Alone, on a mountain top high.
I can hear him, feel him, dominating the heavenly dark sky.
Thunder rolls the distance, lightening strikes the blackened night.
The calm before the storm, The peace before the light.
The air is icy, caught in a chilled embrace.
The wind dancing through my hair, caressing my frozen face.

My eyes cast on him, flying fierce and proud.
Wings spread across the sky, dodging star and cloud.
His razor talons rip through the heavens, amidst his flight
Tearing and clawing against the moon’s pale white.
With a growling deep in his chest, casting his spell
It could be heard till forever, down to the gates of hell.
He spit out hellfire, encased in a roar
Causing the earth to shake, tremble to it’s core.
Mighty and majestic, I gazed upon his form,
Truth be told, this is the creature legends are made from.
Rare was the radiance, powerful was the sight
It sent a pulse through my body, a fire to ignite.
Baring his teeth to protect his domain,
He swooped down before me, but intending no pain.
Gazing into his eyes, deep down in the abyss.
It was a temptation no mortal could ever resist.
The light in his eyes, shown brilliant and bright,
Stirred a weakness in me, one I care not to fight.

Through fire and brimstone, an emotion so raw
I will feel it forever, I will hear the dragon’s call.
It pulls me and tempts me, deep in my soul
There is no escaping, a wounded heart made whole.
From here to eternity and very far beyond,
It is the connection of the soul, an unshakable bond.
Dangerous to touch, forbidden as sin,
There is nothing in this world I can deny him.

Swift as the season, silent as the dawn,
He scoops me into his arms and then we are gone.
Higher and higher, as we took to flight,
I gazed upon the heavens washed in intense green light.
Nestled tight against him, his body against mine,
Flying fast and free, leaving this world behind.
Over mountain top peaks, across wide spread oceans,
It was a breathtaking sight, an intoxicating potion.
Wild and wondrous, he carried me on,
Through the mists of the night and the shadow of the dawn.
In some far away place, we finally touched land,
It was a place of abundance and crimson red sand.
A marvelous place, so astounding and rare.
Fore it was a secret place, enter ye, the dragon’s lair.
So wild and free a dragon may roam,
But this is where he came back to, this, he called home.

As I stroke his back and kissed his brow,
Whispering gently to him, my immortal vow.
I will always be here for you, through time and space.
Nothing will tear me from you, nothing will take me from this place.
My lover, my love, my protector, my friend,
I am with you forever, till time meets it’s end.
The gods have blessed us, so far from above,
Till eternity, with you, whom I truly love.

He smiled at my words, finding comfort and calm
He knew it, so did I, this is where we belong.
Settling in his nest, expressing a love so pure
Confident in our bond, our love would endure.
No fears, no lies, not welcome here.
A love so complete, so crystal clear.
By his side, within this Dragon chamber.
I express eternal love, fore I am the Dragon Tamer.
