After going through a lot of ups and downs with my wife, this poem needed to be written.
PoNR

I can’t believe it came to this
A decade of love and lies
...And PoNR is finally crossed
Our lives now broken under cloudless skies.

Months of anger, bottled and aside
Have exploded, erupted
Here we sit now with pieces scattered
Our family forever interrupted

You wanted trust
I wanted honesty
What neither of us saw
Was it being given in modesty.

He treats me like his child
You screamed and raged
Told to report in like a good girl
Till you felt your world caged.

But you didn’t see
Cause you didn’t trust me to change
So you made my decisions for me
And called me liar when I acted strange.

Months of anger and frustrations finally climaxed
And the future we saw so bright now fades
A decade of tries, hits and misses
And with PoNR we finally give up the charade.
