I'll sit through it all with a smile on my face.
You cared for me once
As I do you.
though things have changed,
I love you.

My arms remain empty, while
Yours remain full.
And even through that,
I love you.

My words; they fall on deaf ears.
But when you speak, I always hear
Everything you say but
I love you.

I cannot hear what isn't there,
But I feel the hatred as you stare
At my back, and
I love you.

I don't want to be greedy.
I can't let you go.
You push me away, though even so
I love you.

So judge me.
Ignore me.
Hate me.
Avoid me.

I'll sit through it all
With a smile on my face.
Because, deep down inside,
I love you.
