Letting go of someone to live again
No I'm not gonna cry,
No not this time,
I'm not down with you,
I'm not down with us,
No I don't need your embrace,
Your touch,
I've had enough,
My heart has stopped beating,
I'm no longer breathing,
Just the essence of me,
Is all that they see,
The heart is the home,
But my heart has died,
I cannot breathe,
Nor can I cry,
I could not feel,
Even if I tried,
My home is unknown,
So now I must go,
Must I say goodbye,
I have to say I tried,
I was blinded by my own reflection,
Trying to find my way
The woman in the glass,
Staring back at me,
Is a stranger to me,
Her eyes a shade of emptiness,
A transparent image,
Of what is left of me,
Wake me up,
This isn't me,
I'm trying to find my way,
Out of this maze,
I'm lost in the shadows,
Searching for the light,
But all I see is darkness,
As if every day is night,
No I refuse to cry,
My tears have all been dried,
They fill an ocean now,
Swirling with the tides,
Drowning what is left,
of my broken heart,
Grown cold and dark,
Lost in the silence,
of my innocence,
Holding on to what is left,
of a face once mine,
Stripped from the light,
I wanna run,
I wanna hide,
Escape from everything,
Wish I could wear a mask,
So no one can see,
The truth I buried,
Deep inside of me,
Drowning in the deep end,
Searching for an air way,
I get pulled down only deeper,
Standing at a crossroads,
Trying to find a way,
Running from myself,
Must I face this day,
All it does is rain,
I'm drenched,
In the pouring rain,
No shelter to be found,
My dreams so far away,
Am I here to stay?
