some things dont last a long time
I was just another fad of yours

That soon went out of style

Now I’m just collecting dust

In the old hand me down pile

I am your blue jeans

Ripped up in the knees

I am worn and ragged

Like all your vintage tees

I am nothing but an item

Past its return date

Used and tossed aside

A finder’s keeper’s fate

My tags are long gone

And my receipts too

Try and give me away

But I won’t fit anyone quite like you

I am your old plaid flannel

Busted seams and faded

With my heart still on the sleeve

For you I was outdated

I am your old vinyl records

That you don’t play to anymore

I am your clearance love

You sell back to the store

I am your hearts garage sale

Leave me out for donation

Just remember something kid

I was once your infatuation
