Another poem I read at Gala Theater. Hope you like it!
My Sister is Moon and My Brother is Sun
When the day hasn’t come and when it is done
You know she is beautiful and second to none
She’ll leap with the wolves and continue to run
The forest in the day was never this fun
She hung from a rainbow and danced on a cloud
Never was quiet and never was loud
And who said that wasn’t allowed?
And who said you shouldn’t be proud?

My Brother Is Sun and My Sister is Moon
When the day has begun and precisely at noon
He’ll sneak up behind and whistle a tune
He knows that you’ll grow up too soon
Used to pick you up high and sing you to bed
Walked around thinking thoughts he has caught by a thread
Used to laugh at the silly things stuck in his head
Used to laugh at the silly things he said

My Sister is Moon and My Brother is Sun
