This is a poem to a certain group of people. A tale of how we fall.
Can’t you all see?
Our country is crumbling.
Our banks are breaking their jobs’ logical law.
Our senate bickers blindly to bring bills to a fall.
Attaching incoherent clauses to break all minds of its intentions,
creating masses blind to what’s right through moral perception.

Media sinks licensed lies to every single son.
Each slightly somber note shrouds minds in a dun.
Serving spins to pose problems that benefit no one.
Leaving the simplest of problems undone by everyone.

All the while our nature falls to shambles.
Pipelines go bleeding carbon contaminants into every crevice of our country’s soil.
Water spoils.
Creatures die.
Yet everyone seems to turn the blindest of an eye.
The skies are darkening.
The people are weakening.
To the point, some things resembled certain biblical foretellings.

Our faiths are lifting from the sightings of each passing day.
From our nothings done to our patience strained.
Society solicits our minds from ever seeing,
mistrust has grown to the greatest disease in the course of human being.

The government gets nothing done,
but ready for some civil war yet begun.
Arming civilians with the latest control-driven technology,
so long as their badge stands at its ready.

We are lost.
Misguided.
Overidden in strains.
All shackled to societal claim chains
Reaching for fame or financial gain
is the American game,
but all becomes a mass of shame
lackluster lethargic masses of fain.

It is just our way…
Everything must die someday…
So forever we stride for that be today…
