The one and only place I can go and not hear the static of the world.
A Cloud rolls in first one, then two
The sun still shines in a heaven full of blue.
A Place of tranquility a euphoric retreat,
Walking on a landscape of sand beneath my feet.
When I’m here and on the shore
I no longer hear the static of the world.
Gazing across the horizon at an age old sea
Reflecting on thoughts of what is, still can and a hint of maybe’s
This place is so hypnotic; I dare not look away,
Caught up in its beauty, so soothing, I could be here forever and a day.
These waters they speak, they wave and smile,
like a long lost friend you haven’t seen in such a while.
If you have never seen the sunset, then you’re in for quite a treat
Make yourself comfortable, stay a while and have a seat,
Heaven’s gate is about to open, like a child I cannot wait!
The only time of day, the Angels come to paint.
Palettes of colors done by heavenly hands,
Artful arrangements designed and unplanned.
Lemony yellows, and licorice reds,
Coppers, metals, and precious gems.
Framed and displayed their work is now done
Here it sits until the curator comes.
He will gather each piece one by one
and cautiously carry his last Finest piece… the Sun.
