Trust or lack of...with those who love you.
Folded Up and Tucked Away

Your eyes are my window to your soul
will you let them speak to me

The solitude of sadness dwells so deep within.
Should you burden not another heart
or risk it all and share yourself.

Can you trust enough to bare your pain
Or will you hide it deep, so selfishly.

That hidden place you always go,
It's safe in there,
that quiet place inside yourself away from all.

You work it out, resolve the pain,
Fold it up and tuck it neatly away.

Be cautious here, it's dangerous ground
That quiet place is awful loud.
It's full of pain you tucked away
Folded neatly and put away.

Your windows speak of hidden pain
Of shattered dreams
Of unresolve.

You hide your heart and never hurt.
No, you hide your heart and always hurt.

Your eyes tell the story of your shut up soul.
Relinquish the key and speak.
Speak of what you've folded up and neatly tucked away.
