A satirical poem about my personality change following brain surgery.
My personality has changed, it's much better then before,

At times I'm smart and funny and I'm moody, that's for sure!

I laugh and cry and smile and frown, all in a few short hours,

But when I start feeling really down, I remember the Twin Towers.

I can't find my glasses, checkbook or keys, I don't think I ever could,

But having a brain tumor excuses me for not know the things that I should,

It has screwed up my handwriting, I see flashing lights and I hear crickets chirping,

on COLD WINTER NIGHTS?

I defrosted a Turkey in the pantry one day and it smelled so bad I had to

throw it away!

My "strange little quirks" may seem odd to you, but if you had screws in your head,

what would you do?

These annoying mental glitches drive me up the wall,

But when I see a wheelchair,

They don't bother me at all!

I cancel my pity party and I pour myself some wine,

and I enjoy a little bubbly instead of wasting time,

My life has changed in many ways, because of a stupid lump,

I'm forgetful, moody and tired and at times I'm in a slump,

But when I'm feeling down because of a brain tumor,

I don't look for my phone or keys,

I search for my sense of humor!

But when I'm feeling frustrated because of a brain tumor,
