A thought from the streets of Africa
ANOTHER DAY HAS BROKEN

Another day has broken
On my way in hunt of my token
Dusty roads, tooting horns, rush hour, rickety buses, bumper to bumper
Attempt wildly, unsuccessfully to tickle me out of my slumber
Single mums, crying babies, dirty pans and heavy loads
What’s a man to do but learn lessons on this road
Hypocrite Suited corporate gurus in Bentleys, cruise by in flight
Vaguely aware of this sorrowful plight
Makes me wonder when to throw down this suit and tie
Makes me wonder when to sever this tie
But then a little Robin whispered into my ears
The facts came to me loud and clear
This life is incessantly wild
You can’t afford to be pleasantly mild.
