I decided to write a limerick for the contest and ended up with TEN!
So I'm not quite sure which one to submit to the contest. So please, if you read this, review and let me know which one you think I should submit. Thanks, AP. (Oh, and I am well aware that some make absolutely no sense, I was just having a lot of fun with nonsense while writing these.)

Edit: Thank you to everyone who reviewed with their opinions. =) I went with #6 for the contest as it was mentioned by almost everyone who reviewed. I encourage everyone to check out the contest at "Limericks! Limericks! Limericks! and have fun churning out those limericks. I know I did.

Edit: Yay! I got an honourable mention for Limerick #6. =) Check out the other winners at "Site News & Announcements. I also got this snazzy birthday merit badge:

Congratulations for receiving an honorable mention in [Link To Item #507049] during Writing.Com's 10th birthday celebration!

Limerick #1

There once was a boy age of nine,
Who thought it would be quite fine,
    To skip through to ten
    Then do it again,
Until he reached age ninety-nine.

Limerick #2

If ever you see a flandoozel,
Make sure not to kick his danfloozel.
    For then it would start
    Forever to bark,
Until you say ten to Tatoozel.

Limerick #3

Ten to one odds are in favour,
Of my cooking not having flavour.
    For the pepper is gone,
And the salt it is none,
And to eat you must first sign a waiver.

Limerick #4

Creativity is lacking here.
It is almost too much to bare
    For I haven't had sleep
    For almost ten weeks
And I'm just too tired to care

Limerick #5

On a shelf ten pictures align,
And I wish to God they weren't mine.
    They tell a strange tale
    Of a bride ordered male,
But I think I've just had too much wine.

Limerick #6

If a giggle is worth but a penny,
And a chortle is worth ten too many.
    Then what would you say,
If I laughed all the day,
And still didn't charge you any?

Limerick #7 (Not eligible as it is about birthdays which they don't want)

I have decided that once again,
On my birthday I'll be turning ten.
    For then I'd be paid
    For reading all day
Which was all that I did way back then.

Limerick #8

I'm trying to fit in a word,
Which at times seems quite absurd.
    For ten does not fit,
    With the very strange wit
Of this randomly rhyming bard.

Limerick #9

Seven eight nine once again.
But he had to stop because then,
    His belly did ache
    From how fast he ate.
Wasn't that lucky for ten?

Limerick #10 (I really couldn't help myself with this one)

Da da da da da da da ten
Da da da da da yet again
      Da da da da da
      Da da da da da
Da da da da da da the end
