There are two side to Africa - one dark and forbidding the other beautiful and inviting.
Under the African Sun for me
Is the place, I want to be
She calls me with her haunting cry
I cannot ignore it - I have to fly

Africa - a land of gold
In her, I will surely grow old
With her mountains and her sea
No other place, could be home to me

Whether watching her mighty ocean waves
Or exploring all her wondrous caves
She has snared me in her trap
If ever I left, I would be back

Open plains of grass and sand
Mighty animals make their stand
Calling out so loud and clear
From the bush that is so near

The smoky smell of Africa
Is a something I cannot deny -
It’s embroiled me so tight
Her mighty grip, I cannot fight

Sunrise brings the African day
With a truly magical display
Sunset does its colorful best
When putting Africa’s day to rest

Just be warned if you should come
To see the mighty African Sun
She could ensnare your beating heart
And you would battle to depart.
