A dark account of an ex lover's retribution.
I walked at ease with the darkest of men
Down even more haunted alleys of loathsome thoughts.
I felt comfort as I walked with the Lord -
The tempting King of the fiery Hell - my friend.
Together we stalked her, tiptoed behind,
Our hate-filled steps lightly danced her evil shadow,
Until I killed her in bliss as the thunder crashed over.
Her body grew cold in the hour that passed,
But my blood ran a fever as I ensured her death.
With my hands clasped heavily around her skull
I married her to the hard ground with a vicious grin.
And when I heard the sound of the crushing bone
I knew my soul could rest peacefully once more.
The Tempter had won - the battle was his
And I - the Tempted - retreated gleeful to the night;
Left with no Demons or at least that's what I'd thought -
But still, the bloodstains on my hands create
A reminder, forever, of the pain she caused.
