Don't take anything for granted. An extra credit poem for creative writing class.
Sunlight
  floats in the heavens,
  above the clouds,
  except when darkness takes its turn,

Like
  a lamp for the world,
  a sheet of warmth for the cold,
  a gleaming promise of eternity,

Leaving
  only to return the ensuing day.
