A poem describing the beauty of nature
Follow the ancient deer path
Beneath the oaks and pines.
You’ll hear the birds of nature
Singing a pleasant song.

As careful feet move along,
A fragrant musk rises
From dead leaves of years gone by
That crackle into dust.

Feet will stumble soon enough
Upon a rushing stream.
Its soothing roar will sound
Like rushing ocean waves.

Shadows dancing in the bays,
Cool refugees of life.
Water rapids reflect light,
Shimmering nighttime stars.

On and on the feet go far,
Across liquid, stone by stone,
Hopping like the little frogs,
To reach the distant side.

In the woods you can’t long hide
From the black tar of men,
The evil mechanic hum,
That overshadows nature’s song.
