The Northwest, my beloved home.
THE NORTHWEST
Hear the weeping willows by the river,
See the buildings glimmer silver.
Enter now the northwest,
I daresay the best.
In all of America, strong and true,
In all of the world too.
Though I have yet to see the world’s wonders,
I have yet to make a blunder.
Upon saying which is the best:
The Northwest.
In Oregon, where the dessert creatures crawl,
Washington, where the rain always falls.
Montana, with its endless skies,
Or Idaho, where potatoes thrive.
